Interior design & construction in Guwahati

We design and build homes, offices and modular kitchens across Guwahati — from the first site measurement to final handover, with one team accountable throughout.

01 — Overview

Working in Guwahati

Guwahati builds differently from the rest of the country, and pretending otherwise is how projects go wrong. The city sits in Seismic Zone V, India's highest earthquake-risk category, and takes roughly 1,700 mm of rain a year. Add hillside plots in Kahilipara and Fatasil, and reclaimed low-lying land near the Brahmaputra, and you have a city where structural detailing and drainage are not optional extras.

We have delivered projects across Guwahati since 2019 — independent houses, apartment interiors, modular kitchens and commercial fit-outs. Our office is at Bhetapara, in the Brahmaputra Housing Complex, and site visits within city limits are free.

02 — Local conditions

What actually matters when you build in Guwahati

Four things we plan for on every Guwahati project, before any drawing is finalised.

Seismic Zone V detailing

Assam sits in the highest seismic zone in India. That means ductile detailing at beam-column junctions, adequate lap lengths and proper stirrup spacing — not decisions to leave to whoever is on site that day. We plan reinforcement at the drawing stage and check it before every pour.

Monsoon-grade waterproofing

With around 1,700 mm of annual rainfall, roof leakage and damp walls are the most common complaints we are called in to fix. We treat terraces, sunken bathroom slabs and external walls as a single waterproofing system rather than patching each one after it fails.

Hill-slope and low-lying plots

Plots around Kahilipara, Fatasil and Narengi often need retaining walls and cut-and-fill planning. Low-lying areas near the floodplain need plinth height decided against local flood records, not a standard figure copied from another project.

Humidity and material choice

Guwahati's humidity is hard on plywood, MDF and untreated timber. For kitchens and wardrobes we specify boiling-water-resistant ply and marine-grade shutters where it matters, and we tell you plainly where cheaper material is genuinely fine.

05 — Questions

Guwahati — frequently asked

No. Site visits within Guwahati city limits are free. We measure the space, understand what you need and follow up with a detailed estimate within 24 to 48 hours.

It depends entirely on scope and finish level, so we do not quote a per-square-foot figure before seeing the space. After the site visit you get an itemised estimate covering materials, labour and timeline, with no hidden costs added later.

Yes. We handle civil construction, architectural drawings and 3D elevations, and complete turnkey interiors. Most Guwahati clients come to us for one and end up using the same team for the rest, which is usually cheaper and faster than coordinating separate contractors.

A full flat interior generally runs 6 to 10 weeks. A ground-up independent house depends on plot, plan approvals and weather — the monsoon genuinely affects the schedule, and we build that into the timeline rather than promising dates we cannot hold.
